...or DH? He’s on fire. Maybe even 1b or CF? At the very least, when our 3B, SS and 2B are gone next year, they’ll be a place for AA.

Andy is one who is really stinging the ball. Makes a lot of sense to see Gretler move to Third. Then have Taylor Pitch! Did I just say that....

Kwan isn't hitting but gets on... 21 BBs vs 4 Ks... a .400 OBA is 4th best right now.
Taylor doesn't belong in the lineup... .259 BA... .318 OBA... 18 Ks vs 4 BBs... and 3 Es already at 1B
Gretler not much better... playing a far below average 3B with 5 Es and .933 FA... hitting .289 with 13 Ks vs 8 BBs and 4 GIDP.
Caden not exactly tearing it up FA of .970... 20 Ks already.
Even Larnach is now at 23 Ks vs 20 BBs when he was almost 2:1 the other way.
When looking at pitching the numbers confuse me as to who is getting game action... just one quick note...
Grambrell has the 3rd most IP, ERA under 3.00... 30 Ks vs 13 BBs... but start Abel ERA 4.95 and more hits than IP??
We have 7 guys with very good overall numbers... take away the bottom four dudes the team ERA drops from 3.23 to 2.65.

Not well in relief, but might as well have put him in the starting role for as long as he was good. Edit... neither was a good option. Forgot both he and Abel both were very shaky vs UW Sunday. Makes it an even stranger decision not to go with someone new in a starting role. |
