Actually I checked into a crystal ball I have handy for emergencies just like this. And OSU would have won by 3. I hope you are embarrassed by your lack of faith in your team baseba111111.

"Ya the team crushed in the 8 beats a team in the final. Not sure that's lack of faith..." So the team that got smashed by UCLA could not POSSIBLY beat them in the rematch?
OSU flew back and forth across the country and then played a game at 4am by their body's clock. Marie played like someone suffering from sleep deprivation and said herself she should have played smarter. She knows how to deal with double teaming, she tried to force it inside anyway and turned over the ball seven times (as many as the previous 5 games put together) and got foolish fouls instead. Could a rested OSU have beaten Louisville? We will never know. But lets give them a little more credit for what they achieved this season. One sleep walking game does not define them.

Wait... 4am by their body clock? What? Overreach much? Define? Any more excuses you want to toss out? UCLA has what to do with this? Equating a home game vs a very familiar Pac12 opponent with a tourney game... good analogy. Did Louisville get extra rest in the tourney? Should #1 seeds have to travel? Didn't really bother you when OSU hosted, did it? More like you disregarding how good you have to be to beat UConn, let alone with all the injuries ND suffered. ND even played UConn to a 9 point loss on the road earlier. Ya, you're right, we'll never know because OSU lost. Playing good teams, travel... it's part of tournament play. OSU had a terrific season... but saying they wouldn't beat ND or UConn or MissSt... or Louisville, doesn't diminish it. Your lame excuses are what diminishes a great season. While we were worn down, so is every team at that point of a season. It's why depth is key. OSU was hammered by a physically more talented/deeper team that played the same tourney schedule. Teams that win their league etc are rewarded with higher seeds/less travel. It's the way it works. So, by your logic did our previous hosting in tournament play diminish our advancement in the tourney? Oh... a full strength OSU lost to a ND team devastated by injuries, at home... a ND team, who by the way, traveled across the country!

A lot depends on match ups. Oregon St didn't match up well with Louisville. They match up far better with ND. Louisville is really good at taking centers out of their game by limiting their space to work in. Gulish needs space to make her offensive moves. McCowan does not and Louisville's tactics did not work on her. The worked on Griner who does not have a big body like McCowan so they stopped her as well. Louisville also pressures all over the court and has the athletes to do so. ND does not.
The luck of the draw is all important in the NCAA's. Oregon St was a really bad match up for both Tenn and Baylor.

I'm sorry baseba111, are you finding the concept of body time vs clock time being different too difficult to understand?
