There is a notice on the Football Season Ticket Renewal form that states:
"The visiting team allotment has been moved to section 9, along with any bands that travel. If you want to request a seat move because of this change in the visiting team allotment, please indicate your seat change request in the comments box below."
Had not noticed that before and thought it was interesting. Not as interesting as the pictures of Jordan Poyer's girlfriend of course but just thought that was going a bit stale and we needed something else to distract us.
(wink)

Perhaps it had to do with "hiding" the visiting allotment on television, though I'm not sure that end zone section got all that much airtime anyways. Section 9 will get none though that's for sure.
Still, it seems curious to move the visitors to a section that you require an annual donation to sit in while opening up more non-donation season ticket areas in a time when we're not exactly flush with cash....maybe they're anticipating section 9 season ticket holders moving up to higher donation areas on the sidelines rather than moving to the end zones?

Wonder what their reason was for moving the visitor's allotment into Section 9. They needed more room in the South End Zone to run ads. They were running out of room on the Dam Cam adbo....errr videoboard . Maybe they are going to put down tarps with advertising over those sections?

You guys are missing the obvious. Can make more money, sell more seats to opponents than they can to unsold seats in donation areas. If the product ever gets better and demand increases, they can always reduce the visitor allotment back to the minimum required by reciprocal agreement.

Section 9 only required a $50/seat donation and there were not exactly a plethora of season tickets sold in that section the last couple of years. They won't have to move too many season ticket holders from that area.
