Wow! Much nicer. I went to a game at UCIrvine this year and the photo reminds me of that.

Long overdue. The prior gym wasn't bad when they were D2, I think it held about 2,200 in bleachers. They never came close to filling it other than during Freeman Williams' time there. Then they made a strange move and turned the court 90 degrees only leaving room for small bleachers on each side, decreasing capacity. I guess it made sense to make the gym look more full, but they essentially downsized it from a D2 venue to D3, which was a bit tacky. New venue will be really nice, and they retained the old gym as a practice space. All new AD offices, weight room, locker rooms and some new classrooms are included in the renovation. OHSU is funding a portion so they can have access to use it as well. Nice to see both PSU and UP improving their facilities.
