Not for nothing, but why does ND have to travel to Spokane as a 1 seed, while 2 seed is less than 400 miles from home? Strange.

Not certain of the answer, but you sure the almighty $$$$$$$$ is involved (as in how many ways can the "greed" generals who run the NCAA figure out how to line their pockets). Never have been my favorites but just for tonight "Hooray for the Irish".

Not for nothing, but why does ND have to travel to Spokane as a 1 seed, while 2 seed is less than 400 miles from home? Strange. The regional sites are selected years in advance. This year they were Albany NY, Knoxville TN, Kansas City MO and Spokane WA. The 4 #1’s get assigned to one of those regions. UConn got Albany, Louisville got Knoxville, Mississippi St got Kansas City and that left Spokane to ND. UO as highest ranked team in the west and a #2 seed got appropriately placed in Spokane.

Not for nothing, but why does ND have to travel to Spokane as a 1 seed, while 2 seed is less than 400 miles from home? Strange. Because the regional sites are set years in advance. And ND was the fourth #1 seed, thus was sent out west. And the UO was one of the higher #2 seeds, and thus got to stay close. Don't whine too loudly. Last year we got Stockton as a #2 seed.

ND wins a rough game. The I fell apart in the second half! 84-74 One of the things I noticed in this game in the 2H was the ucks went zone in the 2H. Based on how ND was spaced there were some HUGE holes in the zone. ND slipped into those holes quite easily and then when the pinch came made the extra pass to the other side for an easy layup. Definitely not an OSU type of defensive effort :-) OSU - still the only D1 women's team in the state to go to a Final Four!

One of my daughters is a Notre Dame graduate, so I was rooting for them big time tonight, especially with the fact that they were playing the zeros...but N.D. fan or not, you have to give it to McGraw this year, she has them in the final 4 with a team that had more injuries than any other that I know of in the NCAA; men or women's teams. Either way their prize is a date with UCONN. UCONN is almost unbeatable IMHO!

The *ucks have no defense, they have to out score their opponents in a shootout. A product of the type of player they are recruiting, they are flashy offensive players. Defense is to hard and doesn't yield the same amount of glory that scoring does. This is not a surprise, I know several suck fans and they all say the same thing.

That might be the only time in the last 45 years I have cheered for Notre Dame. I hope I don't ever have to do it again, but if the play the dorks, I will.
It looks as if Campbell does much of the bench coaching during timeouts. Strange. Oregon can't play a lick of defense. ND missed about 15 shots from point-blank range, or it would have been much worse.
