Yep. OSU’s next game will have #24 Destiny Slocum at point guard.
I can’t wait for it.

Losing in the Elite 8 round shows you are pretty much an elite team. Keep making tournament appearances, keep getting wins in the tournament and a team can keep recruiting more high profile players. Having "program status" has its benefits. Heck, maybe the girls in Oregon will decide that going to Tennessee is not as good a deal as playing in front of the home folks! That would add some more depth to our team.

bib nailed it: It was a truly phenomenal year. And Beaver Nation is totally and completely proud of how these girls carry themselves.
I'll add one comment: Watching this group of players march thru a tough conference schedule and eventually make it to the Elite Eight was a joyous experience. Defeating UCLA, Oregon, Tennessee and Baylor were awesome achievements. What's not to love about this team!
No other coaching staff in America could accomplish with these players what Coach Rueck AND his remarkable assistants accomplished.
My hat is off to a spectacular season, and to a remarkable cast of high character players.
GO BEAVS !!

Remember what Rueck said when he first took over. We will not like the players he recruits, we will love them. Character counts. Character will win games that others would not. Character will learn from mistakes and setbacks. Character will flourish after their athletic careers are over.

Going 3-1 in the tournament - NO HOME GAMES - is phenomenal !!!!!! Imagine our next years Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores carrying that memory forward.

Actually it was more like, the players don't have to like each other but they do have to love each other. Right on about the character though

Two native Oregonians in the top five for this year. Going to be even better next year.
