Rueck was asked if that is her biggest shot of the year. He was pretty non committal. Brought up the OOB play vs WSU to go to OT, another OOB vs UCLA. He forgot about the tsdtr 3 that closed them out

Great play by Pivek, her ability to drive and dish is so important. She really stepped up this year, having to play PG when it's not her natural position ... and Katie Mac was a different player the second half of the season. She really became more assertive and took a leadership role with the offense.
This team is definite proof that the whole is so much greater than the individual. In the last three years we've lost Ali Gibson, Jamie Weisner, Ruth Hamblin, Deven Hunter, Syd Wiese, Gabby Hanson, Kolby Orum and Bre Brown to graduation yet are still an Elite 8 program. No Pac-12 team has lost more, yet accomplished as much.
I'm excited to see what Destiny can do, and to watch Aleah Goodman light it up as a 2. I think she will be very special, and was playing out of position also, by necessity.

When she let that go I thought no way, too flat and gonna land short. Was hoping for a rebound as it traveled. Glad I was wrong.

She makes big shots. Against WSU, against the dorks, and tonight, to name a few.

Maybe she, or we, should change her name to Katie McClutch. She is able to hit the big shots at the big times.
We are looking at next year's leader that is going to expect nothing less than their best from her teammates.

It was such a ballsy shot, high risk high reward. I love that she didn't hesitate and had such confidence under the pressure of the moment

Some players might have better percentages, but if there is a critical, pressure shot... I want McWilliams taking it. She's got the clutch gene.
