I can’t seem to find a link to this season’s stats on the baseball website. A google search only brings up the stats for the first 16 games, and doesn’t include the Cal series. Help.

I noticed that on Sunday night. I figured they were just hadn't posted the update yet.
Maybe you should send an e-mail to Hank Hager and ask him what's up?
For other sports, the stats link appears to have moved into the "additional links" drop-down, but not baseball.

That's bulls%#t. Other sites don't give as complete or up-to-date stats as the team can. For some people, the only reason for baseball to exist is to give stats to look at (I'd say, I'm about 50/50). I can't imagine what advantage it could possibly be to intentionally withhold this information.

I was also told by the Athletic Dept that OSU has no video highlights from the Cal Series that were taken by either the team or any of the staff. In my mind an inexcusable result knowing that they had no other source of video to provide the fans on what was apparently one of the great series in terms of highlights.

Topps football and baseball cards were literally my gateway drug into the wide world of sports. Sure, I had watched them on TV, but it wasn't until I got ahold of those cardboard creations that I got really hooked.

If this is how Casey wants to run his program, let him. We don't have any idea what the real reason is as to why he wants it done this way, but I trust his judgement. In the end, remind yourself that he isn't doing it to YOU.

One can gather stats in any number of ways. An opponent can get reliable, up-to-date, scouting reports quite easily. Or maybe Coach just is messing with Internet posters? Lololol.

This is a nice link. There are at least 3 others that have OSU stats, in varying levels of being current/complete. It just makes it that much more mystifying why the "coaches" would want the information unavailable on the official website. I mean, I could scour the box scores and load them into a homemade database if I had to, but keeping the info they know is readily available elsewhere does not make sense. "Reasons" SaveSave

In the end, remind yourself that he isn't doing it to YOU. It could be that the players are being affected by their stats to the extent that he wants them to find out from the staff, how well they are doing. It would allow the coaches to offer some context that kids aren't going to add on their own.

Except very detailed stats are posted in the locker room and there are plenty of other avenues players can find stats... as posted above. Same reasoning applies to the scouting angle. There are plenty of conversations with scouts and locals who watch opponents plus stats from other sources. The stats have been there for years. For the coaching staff (if it actually was) to remove them it is probably more of an "outside" issue. If this were HS I'd guess a parent or two are using posted stats to cause problems. This makes them work harder to find them?? Whatever it is, it's weird. Let alone suddenly a third into the season.
