Having to play against very physical teams like USC and ASU prepared us for what we faced today in Knoxville. The Beavers didn't give an inch.

There is some value in being somewhat under-appreciated by the committee (I’m not a big RPI fan, but a 6 seed wasn’t egregious, I thought we should have been a 4). Good motivation, no bullseye. SR can flat coach, and the women he recruits are winners in every sense.

How true. Not only can they physically play a rough game but mentally they are now as tough as they are smart.

At least I didn’t say GA, or - specific to hoops - JJ.

Marie got beat up by the whole Tennessee team and to some extent the refs. She is having a great senior year. When they huddle she's the only one talking. True senior leader. Coach Rueck, WOW. Down 10 at the end of the first quarter to win by 7. He makes great adjustments, quarter, half or time outs. Judge Smails was right on about the physical aspect. Great day to be a BEAVER, women win in Knoxville, softball wins 8-3, Baseball sweeps Cal. Go Beavs.

And she definitely stays focused, regardless. Really going to miss her.

You have a very good point. I also think playing against teams with speed like USC and UCLA prepared them for teams like Tenn and Baylor. who are also very fast but not as fast as UCLA, People were wondering why Tenn couldn't score on fast breaks which is part of their normal game. Oregon St. thus forced them into a half court offense in which they really have a problem.

I do not know her name. It looks like it is either Juicy Landrum or Alexis Morris. There is a chance they are faster than UCLA at the guard position, but definitely not at center. It will be interesting to watch how we handle the speed from another team.
