5 national titles at Texas and Fullerton. winning coach of all time. a true baseball lifer who was beloved by his players. he used to tell a great story about humility and perspective. after winning one of his national at Texas, he was feeling pretty good about himself. one day he walked into the Texas athletic department office and saw the national championship trophy being used as a door stop to keep the door open to the Texas football office. Loved the game, played the game, taught the game, and lived the game.
A baseball man.

Really GREAT "baseball guy." I've known a few....and I can count them on one hand. Three reside/resided in good ol' Lebanon, OR. "Say Hey Kid" is one of the greats. He would never accept the title.....
