If the CBI did things right, a CBI bracket would include 14 of the following: Maryland, South Carolina, Tulsa, Old Dominion, Colorado, Central Florida, Indiana, Memphis, Wyoming, Illinois State, Georgetown, UNLV, Bradley, Fresno State, and Oregon State. And you could throw in a quality mid-major like a South Dakota and a Utah Valley State. That would be a tournament worth watching.

While I don't disagree with you, many of these teams that did make that field were some of the better schools from the smaller conferences that didn't win their conference tournaments. Many of them were regular season champions of their respective conferences and weren't rewarded for their regular season because their conference is 99% of the time a 1 bid league and they lost to a team in their conference tournament that just got hot. Now would I want to see us replacing one of these teams and participating in a tournament with these teams playing in it? Probably not, no. I'm looking forward to next year. GO BEAVS!

If you think we're upset for seeing a promising season slip slide away, just imagine the wailing and gnashing going on in the Hoosier State over the roundball fate of their esteemed team.

Indiana and Oregon State are each one of the top 25 winningest NCAA basketball teams. 11-19 Indiana State upset Indiana by 21 to start the season and 14-15 Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne also upset Indiana by 20 a week before Christmas. Both games were in Bloomington. Tough year for the Hoosiers. 16 wins, same as Oregon State. Indiana's non-conference RPI 210. Oregon State's non-conference RPI 211.

Thank the Bb Gods for not putting us in this 3rd rate money losing pos tournament. Let our season die a semi-respectable death.

I'm not a big fan of the CBI but the year we won it was fun. I was really happy for our guard who had an incredible game at UTEP to win it. His name escapes me. Anyone?

We beat UTEP on their home floor in a very competitive series and well played too. Wasn't Olaf playing at the point back then?

Ricky hit 5 of 6 three's as part of a 12 for 19 Beaver effort behind the arc. He finished with 28 points in a 81-73 Beaver win. ON THE ROAD!

I was there for the home CBI game in 2009 and the atmosphere in Gill was ELECTRIC !! Great game and a Beaver victory and it was an awesome experience. I know the CBI is crap but if we got in and I liked our chances even remotely I would definitely go to a HOME game.
