Their park is literally on campus - how is it possible in 2018 that Berkeley has still not figured out how to broadcast baseball games?

Their entire program was nearly eliminated just a couple of years ago. Cal's Athletic Dept is swimming in debt. Nonessential niceties like net-streaming baseball games just may not make the cut, budget-wise.

I'll chip in 10 bucks towards unlimited data for somebody to stream the games back on their cell phone

These things are not allowed to be celebrated at Cal. Therefore, it will not be broadcast for the lesser good as Berkeley students demand.

Actually I don't think that Berkeley students have anything to do with it one way or the other. If you want a perfect example of program priorities look at this aerial of Cal's baseball stadium. When their basketball arena expansion needed more space they just grabbed it from the 3rd base grandstand at Evans Diamond. evans diamond

for what it's worth, they have a good record (11-4) - this is going to be our toughest test yet this year.

It's far and away the worst in the conference (used to be UW before they built the "Diamond on Montlake"). I guess that free Cal Berkeley edumacation is still a draw.

for what it's worth, they have a good record (11-4) - this is going to be our toughest test yet this year. RPI of teams played so far: Gonzaga (9-5) 57 Cal State Fullerton (4-10) 69 Nebraska (9-6) 84 Ohio State (9-6) 85 New Mexico (6-8-1) 167 Cal Poly (6-10) 175 Portland (6-10) 221 Hartford (1-10) 252
California is 11-4 with an RPI of 15. The series also represents Oregon State's first true road games of the year. Currently, Oregon State is not scheduled to face a team with a better RPI until the Civil War Series, more than a month from now. Currently, Oregon State is not scheduled to face a team with a better record until the Stanford Series, May 11-13.
