The Huskies aren’t a juggernaut by any means, but they have athletes, a really good coach (wasn’t he on our list 4 years ago?), we beat them on their home floor and they had a shot at the Dance before that loss.
This has been a crazy year. We have competed all year with everyone, only sustaining 1 double digit loss all year. We have generally led against everyone late into the second half, but we have struggled to finish. There has been plenty of discussion as to the myriad reasons that we fold so frequently, and we play in a conference that includes a lot of schools that are wildly inconsistent. With most teams, they are inconsistent from game to game. In the case of the Beavs, we’re inconsistent from possession to possession. If we slolved that, we would have won at least 20 games by this point. Relatively speaking, the disparity isn’t so much about personnel in this league for us, it’s more to do with our preparation and poise.
Having said that, I’m excited that we’ve advanced to round 2. Hopefully Tres can be at 90% at least to increase our chances. Go Beavs.

I share your enthusiasm.
However, we won at home and in Las Vegas against the fuskies......not in Seattle.
Their coach received COY honors so where does that leave our coach?

I was so distracted last night while I was watching, I think I heard the announcers say something about a Husky player playing on his home court. I morphed that with the fact that the women played their tournament in Seattle...and..voila. I hate these senior moments. LOL
