Ok, so Trevor's gotten himself 5 home runs, including a Kwan, so far this season. Thinking maybe 12-15 this season with his ability to hit with big power to all parts of the park. I have a feeling that he's not going to be as hampered by Pac-12 pitching because of the way he covers the plate.

His last two HRs have been with a runner on third and less than two out. Four of his five HRs have been to center or left.

They are trying to pitch him outer half and down, and he's doing a great job of sitting back on the ball and taking it where it is pitched. When Nick gets back we are going to have a 1-9 lineup that has no real holes in it. Reminds me of the old Big Red Machine where Concepcion was hitting over 300 and that from the 8 spot in the order. I miss those days.

Waiting till a guy is half way there not so risky....

A couple years ago, while in LV, there was this old guy half hobbling and half jogging in an attempt at j-running across Reno Street (a block east of the strip, the road inbetween Luxor and Excalibur). I'm driving and I say in self-dialog, hey old-man - get out of the road - you'll get ran over. I go by him and I change the self dialog to hey Pete Rose - get out of the road - you're embarrassing yourself.

It's 6 - he's striking out more now, they are pitching him a bit differently, but wow, what he does with mistakes.

George Foster......Griffey....Perez.... OK, guys. The point of naming Cesar Geronimo was because HE was the guy hitting .300 while batting 8th in the BRM line-up, not Concepcion. (Concepcion did often hit 8th, but he hit .300 for the first time in 1978, which was post Tony Perez BRM). Fun fact: The "great 8" lineup only played 63 regular season games as the starting line-up for the Reds, going 16-5 in 1975, and 34-8 in 1976. That line-up of Bench C, Perez 1B, Morgan 2B, Rose 3B, Concepcion SS, Foster LF, Geronimo CF, Griffey RF DID start every post-season game for the Reds those two years, going 14-3. Cesar Geronimo batted 8th in 16 of the 17 post-season games.
