Line Score Boston U 1/7/1 OSU 4/7/1
Soph Nerissa Eason records her first win which take her to 1-0. She has pitched a lot and it's very surprising she hasn't made it to a decision. She's got good heat but her control gets her in trouble.
Line Score OSU 5/8/3 San Diego 1/7/1
Contrary to Eason frosh Mariah Mazon has been in 9 decisions. She moved to 5-4. She also has a couple saves. She is getting quite a lot of at bats lately and I like that dynamic. The last pitcher, I can remember, that we had that pitch and hit was Brianne McGowan and she led us to the world series back in '06. In '05 she led us to a share of the then pac 10 title but we lost in the regionals that year.
Her record was 33-8 and the final record for the season was 40-14. Wow, talk about being given the ball. What a stud. We went into the tournament ranked 6th in '05 but lost in the regionals. Ranked 6th and didn't host. Never understand that stuff. It was the first time OSU had won the pac 10 title in any women's sport, according to the archive. Speaking of the archive the years 2006 to 2008 aren't loading.
In case you didn't know, 2 time defending national champ Oklahoma is coming to Corvallis for a two game set; Friday April 20th and Sat April 21st. These puppies aren't free and neither are the games against *&%$ . Can't believe this schedule we got. Brutal and like it.

Can't believe this schedule we got. Brutal and like it. Problem is, unless we start winning some of these games, we will finish under .500 and not make the tourney. We need a big cushion on the plus side going into Pac 12 play to finish over .500. 13-8 isn't going to cut.

I know...for years I've hoped for the OCC to only give us 4 or 5 losses but this year will be tough to get in. It would do us well to sweep this weekend's tourney. Not only do we then have pac 12 play but two with Oklahoma.
