Last night was a picture of reality for this year's team. "We are who we thought we were" feels like an appropriate summary of the season to this point. Soiid, well-coached and capable of beating all but a couple of teams in the country when we're dialed in. Definitely a top 20 team, probably stretching to think top 10...THIS year. Having said that, we are capable of making a run in the tourney, and I believe that we'll be a tough out for most anyone. Not bad for a transition year. Rueck seems tio develop his players very well, with Marie being a wobderful case in point. Her improvement was awesome. We''ll her for sure, but I'm really stoked for the future of this program. Go Beavs! No matter where we go, or who we play, this team has an excellent chance of making the Sweet 16. I predict we do so! As I was saying.........

Rueck has got to get his players to play more physical if the Beavers are going to get deep into the tournament. Think Bre Brown physical. Marie Gulich needs help on the boards from whomever is playing down low with Marie. That is a MUST. I thought our biggest challenge was turnovers (still too high) but the ASU games showed me giving up offensive boards is our #1 challenge at this moment. Our 2nd biggest challenge is not getting enough of our own offensive boards. The good news is that we have this extra time to prepare. I think Rueck will have his team ready to compete. I really want the Beavs to either play more zone defense, or, be OK with switching on defense. I can't count how many times the pick & roll has resulted in the Beavers giving up big baskets to our opposition. I'd say lotrader was spot on as well.
