Almost everybody missed that. Looked like a no-doubter. To be fair I couldn't see it either. By the action of the CF (?) it looked out. But I was watching on TV from a couple hundred miles away. BJW could not see it either Jon was just bemoaning his bad call on the hit having to be in the "highlight" reel

Enough beer and it is quite entretaining. Warren is a good guy and I appreciate the broadcast, but it is entertaining

At least I know Jon would come back with a case of beer to the pit of misery, Dilly Dilly!

so there really is something special about Jon Warren. Here's this beautiful exchange with Big Jim Wilson
Jon Warren: normally i keep notes on each opposing player so i can recall what they did in the previous game but for this player i didn't keep any notes because he is a pitcher and i didn't expect to see him again. But here he is.
Big Jim Wilson: well, he's a relief pitcher.

Am I the only one who thinks it’s a bit weird that following a 4 game sweep, punctuated by Grand Slam, the only comments about the game on this ‘fan’ board, relate to a soon to be replaced (by MP) radio announcer. Hey! Steven Kwan is now above .300 BA; Gambrell just had his 2nd straight strong outing; Adley caught and appears to be over his discomfort that occurred in the (collision?) in Surprise. Lots to talk about! Go Beavs !!

Sorry guys, just always appreciate the comments from the home town fans regarding our Beav's.

Considering the Beavs are adjusting to playing without an All American (Madrigal), it was a decent showing. Defense and pitching were solid but the offense went way down compared to the games in Surprise. Anderson had a tough series but will bounce back. Overall I'm pretty happy with how we're playing but the competition should ramp up next weekend. Hartford seemed like a good club according to Big Jim and JW so the sweep wasn't guaranteed

Lots to talk about! Go Beavs !! [ Thanks. I think that we could easily take winning for granted if we don’t watch out. May we never, ever do that. When there isn’t a single sentence about today’s game and the only “action” we have here is nit-picking about a fill-in announcer, maybe we need to be reminded of the privilege it is to have a baseball program that is consistently top 10, even top 5 most of the past 5 years ball. I made the mistake of dwelling on the frustration of a lot of early exits from the Big Dance with Ralph’s teams in that great dozen year run of the late 70s and throughout the 80’s. Instead of relishing having a team that made Gill an electric place every game and was consistently one of the best in the Western U.S., I began dwelling on our “underachieving” in the post-season. Nothing wrong with noticing problems or wanting our team to keep improving, no matter how tough we are, or complaining about b-list announcers for that matter, but we at least should post a score and acknowledge something good - particularly when you come out of the chutes 12-0, and most of your wins are against solid opponents. Winning all 4 against anyone in baseball is noteworthy enough to merit a couple of comments.

You do realize that Jon gets paid for this work? It is not a volunteer position. When one is paid to do a job, a certain level of competency can be expected. The better option is simply to follow Gametracker (it is more accurate). It's kind of like watching the OSU-UW basketball game Thursday with Bill Walton. I just turned off the sound. Sure, he’s getting paid, but it’s not much. We’re certainly not going to pull Vin Scully out of retirement, so I’m not sure what you want. I give Jon credit for hanging in there and trying to get better despite the online criticism. Every time I hear Mike Parker I think of Vin Scully. We are very lucky to have Mike as our announcer. Jon Warren does a good job filling in. Thanks Jon!

All of a sudden I googled and think it was Todd Mansfield. His Linked in bio says 2006-2010. 2010 sounds about right. But I have advanced CRS

But I have advanced CRS I'll bite. I'm guessing CRS isn't Congenital Rubella Syndrome. What is it? And, I think you're right about Mansfield. I think guys hurried up and did stuff on his calls also.
