My sources say BYU not Catholic.  IIRC, couple of the other schools are Jesuit (LMU, USF) but you are correct, all WCC schools are private, all are faith-based... In the end, it's the NCAA were talking about, so it's always plausible if somebody stands to make more $. |

Faith affiliation of WCC members Gonzaga - Catholic/Jesuit Loyola Marymount - Catholic/Jesuit Portland - Catholic/Holy Cross Saint Mary's - Catholic/De La Salle Brothers U San Diego - Catholic/Diocesan Catholic USF - Catholic/Jesuit Santa Clara - Catholic/Jesuit BYU - Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints/Mormon University of the Pacific - Protestant/United Methodist Church I don't think Gonzaga would have any qualms about cutting ties with their Mormon brethren. Or the apostates at UOP. |

Interesting, if they move it will only be if they get more money - they certainly have national attention with their basketball and baseball teams. Not sure about their other sports and how the move would benefit them there.
