OSU's path to the championship
ASU Stanford sʞɔnp
I like all 3 of those (potential) matchups. On a "neutral" court full of Orange and lots of Pivec and Corosdale F&F.

NOT a favorable match up on any court... 2 Stanford plays the winner of 10 WSU/7 USC. That's likely to be USC. I like the PG matchup of Pivec vs Sniezek a lot more than Pivec vs Moore/Macyzk. Just speaking for myself, would rather face Stanford than SC (yes, I know we split against USC and lost to Stanford).

I'd rather face U$C again ... all day long ... over Stanford. Just to clarify. I think we can beat either one. Also, if USC and Stanford do meet in the quarterfinals it will be an entertaining game. SC played them tough both times losing by 7 at Maples and by 4 at home.

I'd rather face U$C again ... all day long ... over Stanford. Both physical... but, Furd in a true basketball sense with meaning, not being thuggish like SC. And Furd far far deeper with a infinitely better coach. We can beat either, but far rather face SC. Best hope... if Furd does beat SC, that it is a rough and tumble, exhaustive game that wears Furd down... while we cruise by an ASU team that has been rather lucky to be even in the game vs OSU... if we took care of the ball better late these would have been double digit games.

I'd rather face U$C again ... all day long ... over Stanford. And I’d like to face Stanford because they’re the only conference team OSU hasn’t beaten this year.

I'm not so sure it matters that much, we are peaking at the right time. Something that happened way to early last year.

It's always satisfying to know you've beaten everyone in the league at least once. I seriously don't think they would give three *ucks (whether or not they beat Stanford this season at all), as long as they made it to the Championship game. Stanford is not a favorable match-up for OSU (compared to U$C). All things being equal I want to face the seeds in order 6, 2 and 1. Not hoping for underdogs to knock off teams you don't want to play. Screw that nonsense. Would rather come in second to the *ucks than win against some underdog due to intervention of some fluky (or tragic) events. And I think they do care. As I said in a previous post, these girls are competitive.

Stanford is not a favorable match-up for OSU (compared to U$C). Stanford: Is a great defensive team but not a great offensive team... so they are a lot like we were last year (and often times this year when our offense hasn't clicked). They do not have the ability to pressure the ball as well as USC does. USC: The major problem they pose is pressure on the ball. They are not good shooters and we've controlled Simon pretty well inside. I have been impressed by the way their new coach has them playing more disciplined ball, but they are not on our level in that respect, or on Stanford's. We have reasons to be afraid of both of them, but what scares me the most is the athleticism of USC and its potential to create turnovers. The biggest question in playing Stanford is: Can we find new ways to make our offense effective against them? They completely stymied us last time. That said, I'd rather play Stanford.

Beavers need to play and beat Stanford to help them get a 4 seed in the NCAA tournament. OSU is presently projected as a 5 seed, with the 4 seeds being Stanford, Duke, Ohio State, and Georgia. OSU needs to replace one of these 4 teams, and a win over Stanford could/might help a lot, plus winning the Pac 12 tournament.

Clever concept. Win all your games and things will pan out. Someone should send along that news flash to Coach.
GO BEAVS !!
