The only thing that being ranked No. 1 right now does is put a BIGGER Target on our back. I am happy with a No. 2 ranking.

First in the poll s. First in our hearts. Well, at least my prediction is golden in 1 out of 6, let's see how the rest of the day goes. #2 in Baseball America and Perfect Game. Oregon State is fifth in RPI. Florida is 68th. The Beavers have won six times against teams with winning records. The Gators have won once (Florida Atlantic). Cal Poly, who went 1-3 in Surprise, beat both Arkansas (2017 SEC runner-up and regional host) and Michigan (Big Ten #2), in neutral site games. Cal Poly is the only team that Oregon State has played that does not currently have a winning record.

the problem with our rpi is that we beat each of these teams twice. That sort of hurt their records. But their rpi from having played us so early in the season has been boosted a lot.
Not much help on rpi over the next two weeks:
MAR 2
FRI 8:30 PM 130
Hartford 0-3
10 MAR 3
SAT 4:00 PM 130
Hartford 0-3
11 MAR 3
SAT 4:30 PM 130
Hartford 0-3
12 MAR 4
SUN 3:00 PM 130
Hartford 0-3
13 MAR 6
TUE 8:00 PM 267
Portland 3-4
14 MAR 9
FRI 8:30 PM 135
Cal State Fullerton 1-6
15 MAR 10
SAT 4:00 PM 135
Cal State Fullerton 1-6
16 MAR 11

First in the poll s. First in our hearts. Big League Chew...I remember when that came out. Marketing genius for fairly decent gum which competed with the likes of the relatively-new Hubba Bubba and Bublicious. Better than fake, candy cigs or even the gum cigs that allowed you to blow out a little powdered sugar at first to make it look like you were smoking. How cool was that? (Not cool at all, I suppose)

(Not cool at all, I suppose) Yep, I was playing little league (well, JBO) baseball when BLC first came out. I also remember Hubba Bubba and the "Gum-fighter" TV commercials of the time. Sadly, I don't remember being able to poof powders sugar out of gum cigars, although I know I did chew a few.

OOC I root for every Pac12 team, even tsdtr, as that helps our RPI once we hit conference play.

You're still playing little league? I thought you were too old for that.
