Maybe a poor analogy, but I'll take the "John Stockton" PG over the "Dame Lillard" for the way SR teams play. They'll both lead their teams, but I very different ways. SI does not play point guard on the current Ducks team. She is playing the 2 guard. Oregon's PG this season is Maite Cazorla. BTW .. Destiny's Maryland team played Sabrina's Oregon team in the NCAA tourney last season. The closest stat among the two players was turnovers: Sabrina 4 Destiny 5 The rest of the stat line for-shadowed Sabrina's sophomore season: 21 points 7 assists 6 rebounds 2 steals Destiny's stats in that game: 9 points 3 assists 1 rebound 0 steals Both players played 38 minutes. Destiny will beat Sabrina in the Oregon State system. And I would compare Sabrina to James Harden, for both positive and negative reasons (such as getting cheap fouls called whenever a shot doesn't score).

Using stats in an emotional argument. Bold play. Let me know how that works out for you

My point is that Sabrina is not currently playing PG. Which means a direct comparison of Destiny's contribution to OSU next year and Sabrina's contribution to Oregon will be slightly muddled due to their differing roles. As for which TEAM will win games next season ... I would not hazard a guess today. I am much more interested in the potential to see Oregon play OSU in the finals of the 2018 Pac12 Women's Tourney - I hope both teams make it there.

Wow! I was wrong. SI is 2.5 times better than Destiny. Those silly writers who chose Destiny as Freshman of the Year, because we can always tell how good each player is by who scored more points or had better stats in 1 game where they may have even went head up against each other at times. I’ll take my chances that Destiny will work out fine and do decent against your ducks.

Graves finally decided earlier this season that he wants Cazorla to be the leader of the team, a very smart decision. Not only is she the pg but she also leads in huddles and practice.
Their opponents should hope that si is the pg, she is a horrible leader on and off the court.

Season stats in their freshman year: Sabrina 14.6 PPG 6.6 RPG 5.5 Assists 1.1 Steals Destiny 11.5 PPG 3 RPG 6 Assists 1.3 Steals Not sure those stats would indicate a huge difference in predicted performance next season ... but we can certainly wait until next season to view the results.

green85Did SI wear down as the year went on? My only reference point is she had a ton of Triple Doubles early. Then I didn't hear about many later. Competition stepped up? Legs? Better defenders in Pac 12 play? Just curious Also is her brother still a walk on for MBB? Wondering how long he lasted. The life of a walk on is hard and under appreciated

The life of a walk on is hard and under appreciated 2 of Sabrina's 5 triple doubles in 2017-18 season came against Pac12 competition. The most recent was at the end of January this year. I think each of the reasons you list plays a role in the lack of triple-doubles since. She has had multiple double-double games this year.
