Hurley's antics are incredible - he's worse than Doc Rivers with the Clippers! The head referee had to get an OSP trooper to keep Hurley from following them into the tunnel. It's not like this was an exception either - he's this way in every game! I can't believe the conference hasn't suspended him yet.

The color commentator, Adrian Branch, said he feels Tinkle will make the 10-man all-conference first team. He also said that he feels Eubanks will play at the next level. But, then again, Branch is just a former NBA player and he probably rarely posts on message boards, so he may not be aware of how "awful" Tinkle and Eubanks actually are. Go Beavs! Mike '84 Well said It was... all good except Branch is no expert on OSU (most former NBA players are not)... he admittedly has seen the Beavers once, and not one practice. And although sarcasm abounds on this board... I can't recall any poster calling them both "terrible" in terms of their overall game and contribution. Tinkle in his over extending PT, lack of right hand, turnovers... Drew mostly regarding his NBA readiness... BUT, never "terrible".

Could be... although I never qualified him as a "poster"... impostor maybe.

I used the word "awful", not "terrible", specifically because of this comment from 2 weeks ago, which was not made about any particular play or even a particular game, but just as a general comment on why the Beavers definitely should not be favored over UW: How were we 5 point favorites? Eubanks and tinkle are awful I guess he ended up being right. The Beavers only won that game by 3, not 5. And "awful" Eubanks and Tinkle only had 47 points, 24 rebounds, and 11 assists between the two of them.

First... nit pick over terrible vs awful... your choice of wasted time as I was the one who used "quotes". 2nd, it is pcm , so if you read the board regularly you would realize he is an outlier when discussing the hoops team. And, 47/24/11??? Are you talking the ASU game... 31/16/10/5 to's (Zona 27/8/10/8 to's) in one game doesn't make him right about being 1st team all league or Drew... or knowing anything about OSU and the hoops program... nor the Pac12 in general as who are even the top 10-15 players. As the as mentioned earlier... he couldn't get KM named, and compared one of our most inconsistent players to Sam Cassell. Maybe announcers use a little hyperbole when doing games?

Um, I'm not trying to argue with you. My original message said "awful", in quotes, so I was clarifying that I used that word specifically because of pcm's message (I was quoting him). I was not nit picking your use of terrible, I was just pointing out why I specifically used "awful". Yes, I did notice it was pcm. I figured he was an outlier because a normal person would not describe Eubanks and Tinkle as awful. I was just pointing out that Adrian Branch might have a better idea of what it takes to be on the conference first team or make it to the NBA than pcm. I was not ridiculing your opinions or those of all message board posters. The ASU stats for Eubanks and Tinkle look pretty good too but I was referring to the UW game, which, as I said, was the game for which pcm made the "awful" comment. As I said in my original post, it's nice to see the Beaver players getting some respect. That's why I pointed out what Adrian Branch said. Maybe a bit of hyperbole but certainly nice to hear and an opinion from someone who knows the game if not OSU specifically.

When did Sam Cassell become an NBA legend? I think it was that one big shot he made and then imitated that he was carrying his big, brass balls.

When the "inconsistent player" drove to the hoop and scored he likened it to a move of Sam Cassell. He did not make any effort past that to compare the "inconsistent player" to Sam Cassell. I find it making a mountain out of a mole hill. Surely it is not wrong to describe a good play by hearkening back to similar plays of a good player. This does not make the players equal it only gives a point of reference for that individual play.

I was at the not listening to the hyperbole laced announcing. Pardon my use of another poster's interpretation 😁
