He hurt it on the slide into home. X-rays right now. My bet is major wrist injury. Hope I am wrong.

Hopefully the Madrigal hand thing was precautionary and not serious. On a slightly positive note, Nick did stay in and run the bases after the HBP. It was the slide into home where the injury happened. |

The major is a guess, but the amount of visible swelling and major pain. A couple of other things that were even bigger indicators. |

I saw him after the game. While I will not speculate on the injury, his demeanor did not indicate that of someone who thought that all or a good portion of his season was in jeopardy.

Unfortunately, Preston received his chance at the DH slot against Ryan Feltner. Jones struck out twice and looked lost in the batters box on both K's. Feltner throws BB's and Jones was baffled by it.
Malone pinch hit for Jones on the 3rd at bat and he struck out as well. Nobach pinch hit for Anderson and hit a single to LF in the late innings.
