Begging for any kind of news on today's game and I'm finding nothing of substince.
Did I miss something?
I'd love to know who is starting today.... is it Luke or will we give him his normal rest?
I'd also like an injury update on Gambrell, do we know anything?
Another 4 game weekend should create more innings to be shared in that Bull Pen and if Gambrell can't go.... even more innings to get covered.
Update on Verburg?

Also any idea what the tailgate scene is?

I would be surprised not to see Luke. Tougher opponent. 6 days rest. Eisert probably has the freshest arm, though, and I wouldn't mind seeing him start at all.
Zak was very decent behind the plate, but I hope Rutschman is ready. Zak back at first, Gret at third, and Rutschman behind the plate is impressive from the defensive standpoint.
Guess our questions will be answered soon.

Just had to comment on Taylor. Guy has been dead on on defense playing first base. The play he made on a long foul is the play that KJ wouldn't have made. Impressive. Bat has been good, and he took 3 of those heady extra bases that Chinmusic mentioned. Count me as impressed.

Nebraska pitching staff has been snake bitten and is down 5 yes FIVE! relievers right now. Just had another kid go down this week, needing TJ. They'll be throwing a lot of kids who weren't originally going to be in the mix.

The Nebraska starter had a big time freshman season, but he had a huge drop as a sophomore. Didn't look great today and his guys behind him didn't help.

And the changes aren't so much to keep the batters off balance. |
