Good 'ol pitchers duel. Their pitcher went to 4-0 with the win and Meerha Nelson suffered her first loss and moves to 5-1.
Game was scoreless until the bottom half of the 5th when LSU scored. Of course the Eeyore fan I am I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. But, it's very encouraging that we battled a perennial power at their place dropping two games by scores of 3-2 and 1-0. Not a big fan of moral victories but these are definitely that. Especially for Meerha Nelson who as a soph last year gave up a ton of homers. She's given up a couple this year but going through LSU's line up for six innings and giving up 3 hits (no bombs) shows, to me anyway, that she has been working hard at her craft.
