Like there isn't any rednecks in Oregon? Let me get this straight, there are women who take exception to being called a "lady"? WTF My female professional colleagues would not consider being labeled a “lady architect” or "lady engineer" as a compliment. I know better than try it. Hope I didn’t blow your mind.

The “Lady” MascotName thing is passé. It’s old fashioned and not really acceptable (unless you’re in the South aka redneckistan). We dont call the Men’s team the Gentleman Beavs, do we? I agree. Although “Gentlemen Beavers” does have a ring to it. We tried playing like that on the gridiron for the past 3 years... rather have the Beavers do the "ringing" not the moniker.

Report back and let me know how it goes. The ones who went to OSU are proud to be called "Beavers". No problem whatever. I know two that proudly feature beaver mascots in their workspaces.
