It’s so awesome to see her development - both in terms of physical skills as well as mental toughness. IMO, Rueck develops talent about as well as anyone. No coach can be expected to morph his entire roster, but SR bats a pretty high average. Katie Mac does such a good job in those pressers of articulating what a young woman can expect playing for him. Really great stuff.

Billings is the only center the Beavs have played that Marie didn't clearly dominate. Return match it was no comparison. Billings went one on one offensively and defensively maybe 9 times, and Marie toasted her 7 of those times. Billings could not stop Das Hammer from scoring one on one. Probably last time I get to see her play in person Sunday and it will be sad/happy occasion.

I am really going to miss Marie and hopefully AA can hit the ground running. Disappointed in JG's play. I think she could be a real force by hitting the weights and being more aggressive. Looks like a 4 year project that has to be accomplished in two. As far as Marie goes I wouldn't trade her for any center in the league. Marie is much better than Ruth shooting, but would give Ruth a slight edge on defense because of the intimidation factor.

Marie doesn't have the bulk of Ruth... she truly had to fight for position in both ends. Way more athletic, but Ruth was immovable and hard to get around with surprising ability and touch. Love both for what they each bring/brought and what they both have in common... a quiet leadership and tenacity that makes everyone ese better. We're very fortunate to have two such players in the middle overlap. Sets of very large shoes for AA and PM to grow into.
