Just think of all the Arms now in the BP. As a guess, Gambrell may have his act together, throws ++++ and will be the surprise of the Season. Sure wish the games in AZ were on TV. Oh well, Go Beav's!

I am a little surprised Eisert or Mulholland aren't getting a chance to start, but Gambrel is... IIRC Jake even mentioned a couple times last year his desire to start...

I’m hoping that Mulholland gets starting opportunity as well (as he has expressed the desire) ... on the other hand it’s sure nice having him in the pen. And if he does become starter that may mean that Gambrell or god forbid Fehmel...are struggling.
Who the hell is Ron Richmond anyhow?...other than being an AP Writer that may or may not be covering the Beavs for the little O - is he Danny Moran’s replacement? At any rate, he has some fact-checking type improvements to achieve, as he blunders in this article into identifying Heimlich as a sophomore last year in Surprise. Thank goodness for the GT and the Portland Tribune for actual journalism.

Ron Richmond is a former long-time reporter at the Register-Guard. He has replaced Danny on baseball because Danny's ability to cover baseball was compromised by last year's stories and he was unable to get interviews except in group situations.
Richmond made a small mistake. He's human. Even Eggers, who is good but not the journalistic superhero some make him out to be, errs on occasion.
Gambrell has had an outstanding spring. He has thrown strikes, and is regularly in the low 90s.

Thanks for the update on Richmond. Looking forward to his Beaver coverage this season.
