For me right now, Cascade Lakes Brewery Snow Park XPA. Great in-between IPA and Pale.

My leftover Homebrew from Super Bowl - 10.5%/100+IBU IPA that just about took me out before the end of the game... Surprisingly one of my better beers I've made.

They call it a "Pacific Ale", which I suppose is their name for a Pale Ale, but it is what an IPA was 10 years ago, before everyone went crazy overhopping their IPAs on the west coast. I really enjoy that one!

Deschutes Brewery Fresh Squeezed and Pinedrops. Both are excellent. Backup is 10 Barrel Apocalypse IPA. Fresh Squeezed was the choice of the day in the 91 degree Mesa, Arizona day we had today. 3rd day in a row we have set new records for heat, sure makes a cold beer even better!
GO BEAVS! ftd

I'll have to try that XPA from Cascade Lakes. A mix between a pale and IPA is exactly what I like. I agree too with Elmira that some IPAs have gotten a little crazy with the hops. I like them there in Redmond, I think they do a good job.
For all Portland Beavs, A friend of mine and Beaver through-and-through opened up a place in SE that is great and has a great rotating selection of local beers from pales to darker beers, as well as cider and a full bar. Ankeny Tap & Table at 28th & Ankeny, just south of Burnside. A small place but he has really improved it in the few months its been open. Great food too, they feature Brussel Sprouts in several configurations but also have great burgers/hot sandwiches. Check it out. I have no stake in it so hope I'm not in violation of forum rules, just a regular customer.

XPA is a real nice beer. Again, a nice departure from the hop bombs that West Coast IPAs have become.
