Notables
line OSU 3/7/1 Mizzou 1/3/1
JR. Meerha Nelson scattered 3 hits over 5 innings. Unfortunately, one hit a dinger. That's softball I'm learning. Frosh Mariah Mazon came in for the save. Meerha got into trouble in the 5th with runners at 1st and 2nd with one down. I was strongly talking to my computer for Berg to bring in Mazon but she did not and Meerha showed grit and survived the inning. I've seen too many coaches leave pitchers in for that 3rd time through and pay for it. I think Meerha is a good pitcher but in IMHO I think some players, like her, need to be protected to help their confidence grow. Low and behold Berg put in Mariah for the last two innings and I was glad to see that.
JR. catcher, Kaylee Schafer, threw out her third runner in as many days. If you haven't seen her live she has a gun. Fun to watch.
I don't know the results of other teams in the top 25 but I believe our ladies will be in the top 25 or at least get some votes for sure.

I typically focus on Baseball and WBB, with about 90% of my Beaver 'fandon'. Gotta say though that this Softball team is beginning to look very interesting. It sure appears (by box score examination only) that Freshman 2B Camryn Ybarra is playing like a veteran.

Beat Mizzou 3-1 this morning, 4-1 start is very encouraging.
