Two weeks ago I was parked at a stop light in my 2017 Toyota Corolla when an individual decided to rear end me in an SUV at about 40 miles per hour. I may have made a trip to the emergency room in an ambulance but x-rays proved negative and I was able to walk out of the hospital 3 hours later.
I'm not saying that I'm not sore, didn't get whiplash, and I'm going to be dealing with issues for a while based on this accident but I can tell you that today I bought another Corolla one model year newer. This is the second time I've been rear-ended at high speed sitting at a stoplight and I can only say that the Corolla may be low on excitement driving but when it comes to safety I may still keep peeking in my rearview mirror a lot more when I'm parked at a stop sign but I will feel more comfortable than I would in a lot of other cars I could have purchased.

Glad you’re ok.
New cars are so much safer then they used to be. If only we could keep the idiots (distracted drivers) off the road.

Bluetooth... or cell deactivates!T thank you and yes the other driver did get a nice ticket for distracted driving thanks to their attempt to apparently try to plug their cell / GPS in to charge without realizing they were coming up on a stoplight.
