I haven't watched the replay yet, but it's obvious Goodman's outside game saved the night for the Beavs..... I cannot remember any Beaver game where a 7th or 8th player came off the bench to knock down 17 points (5 3s) in the 2nd half.
Maybe it's happened before, but I sure don't remember it....
It's a helluva deal when a coach has a kid with those offensive skills 2 or 3 notches down the bench.
Technically, WSU cheated on D and paid the price. I know. But, I think everyone will agree it was one of the all time great clutch performances for a bench player.
For those of you who have been singing her praises all season Goodman made a great case for your belief in her. I know I'm impressed. Great game Aleah... GO BEAVS !!

You haven’t been paying attention to OSU WBB this year. Nothing Aleah did last night was surprising. Only her missing those 2 crunch time free throws. That was a little surprising.

I'm one of those "singing her praises" since she verbally committed. It is not just what she did but how and why she did it.. As a sophomore she did everything she could to help her team won the state title, she would not be denied. All so her older sister who was a senior would be able to say she was a state champ. After she received the offer and verbally committed to OSU she went to work on her defense knowing that she would have to be better at it to compete as a beaver. She had a tremendous game against arguably the best player in the state in Westbrook, a real Gabby performance. Her 5A team took out the two best 6A teams in Southridge and South Salem.
She was not known as a three point shooter as a high schooler but being a "short 5'9" guard" she knew she would need to improve her outside game. I think she succeeded.
Last year she in 5A ball she was 7th in points (her teammate was 2nd), tied for 3rd in rebounds, and was first in assists and steals.
She is only going to get better and will be a major contributor for beavers in the next three years.

squonk - Yes, I have been paying attention to OSU WBB this season.
Yes, when a player comes off the bench and scores 5 3's in a come from behind game on the road it IS surprising. To my knowledge what she did last night has never happened before in recent OSU WBB history. So, yes, that qualifies as a pleasant surprise.
If you are trying to say that Goodman is a good player and you have known it for a while, then good for you.

If I'm not mistaken. Didn't she play AAU ball for Kelly Sopac In Calif ? Same team that Sabrina I. played for. I think he said that SR got a big steal in getting her to commit to OSU. correct me if I'm wrong.

Kelly was very high on Goodman and given his experience coaching highly ranked high school players it really means something.

This wasn't her first big game coming off the bench. I think coach R is smart enough to let a hot shooter get some minutes.

I wasn’t surprised in the least by Aleah’s performance in Pullman.
