That play reminded me of a game the men played at Washington when Steve Johnson was here. Ball was under the basket and I think he got it and gave us the lead after being down by 7 with like a min to go. Anyone remember that?

I was in the third row, center court at Hec Ed in the UW student section on a friend's frat brother's ID. I had to wait to celebrate until we were clear of the building. |

I thought Katie did a marvelous job of catching the ball while she was in mid-air and releasing the ball before her feet hit the ground. There was an even better view of that on the TV replay. The execution was superb from both players.

I'm pretty sure coach R said post game that he had seen tape of Katy scoring on that play a number of times when he was recruiting her. My impression is that it was probably play option #1 on that possession. |
