I was poking around on twitter and found something that I want a second or third opinion on. Taylor Jones is a 2019 prospect, who has the Beavers on her list of schools. If you look at her twitter account. Her only post about the Beavers is her visit to OSU and her post about her final 10 schools. There is nothing unusual about this to me. she also has posted about her other schools that she has visited. A normal twitter to me. I see from her twitter account that her dad is a coach at her high school (Dallas Christian). So I decided to look at his twitter posts. As I scan down, I see a lot of Beaver posts of SR,KB, and other Beaver happenings. This is my take from his posts. I think Taylor's dad really likes Scott and the Beaver program. So I'm encouraged by this. If dad likes the Beavers, hopefully Taylor does too. Now you may say- " well Taylor probably wants to stay in Texas close to family and friends". Maybe so. But she has a sister who is playing ball in Southern Utah. She didn't stay home close to family and friends. I'm just saying that I'm encouraged and hope Taylor picks the Beavers to play for. I welcome your opinions on this. Taylors PN info -->. prospectsnation.com/player/taylor-jones-0Taylors twitter---> Taylor Jones @tayllorjoness Dads twitter----> Keith Jones (@jonesgirlzbball)

I have noticed the same thing a few months ago. I really like that she came to visit us and she skipped the *ucks. She is not the only one that did this, in fact the schools have diverged enough that players attracted to one school have little interest in the other.

I remember last spring/summer when Destiny was looking for a school when she decided to transfer. I looked at her twitter account and noticed that she had recently started following Scott Rueck. I was hoping that was a good sign, but tried to not read too much in to it.
So, I see Mr. Jones' Beaver posts as a positive.
As far as the "playing close to home" aspect, since Mr. Jones coaches basketball I don't see where he would have a lot of time to go to a game in Texas or anywhere else.
The one thing I like about Taylor Jones and Kennedy Brown having Oregon State on their list is that they are from Texas and Kansas (I believe). I like that OSU has been able to get some of the top girls from the western states, but I feel the next step is getting some of the top girls from some of the other states.

I am really hoping that this year's team gets hot at the right time and has an unprecedented run in the Pac-12 tourney and the NCAAs..... I know that recruits may look beyond that, but several of those other top teams on their lists will be fairly visible at tourney time. Can't hurt for us to be that as well - we have really become a top-25, upper echelon Pac-12 team, and wouldn't hurt to reinforce that in March.
That said, I'm also hopeful this might not be a huge factor in this case, because I suspect Mr. Jones recognizes good coaching when he sees it, and a healthy team dynamic, and a family environment, and happy players, and a safe, supportive campus and community.......hmmmm, no wonder we are becoming a bit of a destination for top level players who manage to discern these things.
GO Beavers!

GO Beavers! First, I want to thank everyone for there comments While I was scanning Mr Taylors posts I noticed that he and his wife were at the NCAA tourney games held in Texas. I would bet you my pay check that they were at the game were the Beavers beat Baylor. I bet that impressed them about OSU's abilities.
