Would have been nice to have down the stretch. I don’t think it had any effect on how the refs called the game
Just sayin’...

I had a similar thought. Getting it so early (granted we were digging a hole for ourselves) also hamstrung his ability to be very demonstrative for most of the game. I don't think the refs altered their approach much throughout the game, and I don't know if it lit a fire under his team either.
Go Beavers

I think it was frustration at his post getting hammered game after game, and his team coming out flat against Stanford of all teams.

or the 2 points that Marie had on the put back after the shot clock went off Honestly that did look like a shot clock violation as I don’t think the last shot drew iron.

Whether the "T" had any effect on the Refs or our team is debatable, but what is not debatable is that he attempted to change the flow of the game by the refs or/and his team. I commend him for that. One thing driving me crazy is Pivac driving into the key and stopping and getting surrounded. Either shoot it or pass!

He does not use profanity, or raise his voice, yet has gotten three T's this season, while other coaches who freak out (Washington, ASU) get nothing. Refs have rabbit ears.

I understand Mik played a lot of post in HS.......I wonder if driving all the way under the basket was more successful at that level. Here in the Pac-12, teams are starting to collapse on her (as you note). I would rather she pulled up for a jumper or stopped earlier en route towards the basket unless a clear path was available. Multiple times last night she got herself in trouble with that tendency. Go Beavers!

There have been multiple times the last couple games that she’ll drive into the middle of the lane, stop and create a little separation, and then need to look for a pass. I think she could get some baskets if she’d pull up and shoot rather than just stopping dead then looking for a pass.
