The inconsistency of these girls is driving me crazy (Short Trip)! We should be destroying this team, but seem very tentative on Offense and can clamp down on Defense but don't do it reliably. Come on Ladies, Go Beavs!

Not an impressive or focused performance vs a 2-7 Pac12 team... so far!?
Marie only 3 shots... almost half of our FG att. are 3's (15 of 33)... gave up 9 off boards (10 2nd chance pts)/out boarded overall... outscored 8-0 to end the 2nd... despite only 5 TO's. Needs to pick it up ladies!!
Go BEAVS

29-19 3rd helps... but still some shabby D... another bad end to a qtr... 66-57 starting the 4th... but, 66-53 with ball and 27 sec... ends up with them getting FTs and a off board put back.
Come on... SLAM the door!!!
Marie just not getting the off touches but... 8/9/5/5... Buffs doing a great job on the interior...

Order restored Beavs win 86-71 KtMac with 15 Tudor w 23 Gulich with 12 Kalmer throws in 11 M Washington 21 minutes 7 rebounds. Strong and athletic. Jo G 9 minutes 8 points and 5 rebounds. Some twin towers action in the 4th qtr. I thought the officials allowed too much rough play at times and were inconsistent on fouls. But hey, it's the Pac so what else is new?

Loved Maddie’s board work. Once that Rebound goes in her hands, it’s like a vault. She IS the VAULT!
Also liked that Taylor not hesitant about taking the open 3...especially when the opponents defense is keying on the inlet pass to Marie.
Finding different ways to win is what separates the women from the girls in PAC 12 competition. Good ROAD win. Go Beavs!

What I really liked about this game: - Pac-12 W - will take it any way we can get one. - Gulich - just an amazing stabilizing factor. I think her leadership influence on this year's team has been the difference maker. More than her scoring, blocking, rebounding, we are going to miss that next year. - Tudor - really becoming a complete player before our eyes.....what is really crazy is that I believe she is no where near her ceiling, which makes the coming years very interesting. - Maddie's boarding (as pointed out earlier) - KTMac seems to be getting the memo that we are a better team when she takes 6-8 shots.... - Kalmer - still looking for that breakout game where she just goes off. - Grymek - I have to say Joanna might be improving the most rapidly out there.....
What I didn't like: - SR has to come up with a better "shot clock winding down" play approach. KTMac is not it, with all due respect. I actually think Kalmer when out there, is a good option, as is Aleah. Mik seems to be 1 second off... - Ref inconsistency. Having watch Pac-12 referees, I have gotten over ticky-tack weirdness. But now the inconsistency within the game is boggling me. (Aside - why doesn't Mallory McGuire's little hop before *every* shot ever get called?) - Drives to the basket with our heads down.....seems a couple times a game we force the issue when a really good option is staring the driver in the face - well, it isn't, since they don't seem to recognize it.
Overall - I note that every member of this team came out and made positive contributions on this road trip. Another SR team slowly rounding into form. Can they continue the progression this coming week?
GO Beavers!

She has the 2nd highest % shooting 3's to Goodman for the season and 2nd highest to Tudor shooting 3's in conference games.

I actually think Kalmer when out there, is a good option, as is Aleah. Mik seems to be 1 second off... Taylor is our fourth-best guard. Nice complementary role player, but she simply is not as good as Pivec, McWiliams or Tudor.

She has the 2nd highest % shooting 3's to Goodman for the season and 2nd highest to Tudor shooting 3's in conference games. KTMac played a heck of a game, and shot well. What I was trying to say is when the shot clock is ticking down, and she is handling the ball, her internal clock seems a bit easily disrupted by high hedges and double teams, and her last second before a shot clock violation shot is either a desperation heave or ends up being a second late. To me, Kalmer or Aleah seem to have a better sense of timing on those plays, for whatever reason......Mik has been (in the past) uncanny good, but in the last 3-4 games a second off......KTMac is better receiving a pass for that last tick of the shot clock shot than setting up for it. Go Beavers!
