And did you see KtMc's D on Ion? Ion was swiveling her head around trying to keep track of her and KtMc still got a block. I counted one score while she was defended by KtMc.

Yes, katie did guard her a lot. And I don't know what 3 you are talking about. But how is one shot made not exactly what I said? Wouldn't you have to come up with two shots to refute me? Sorry, math isn't my thing. And Ion made two three's, and KtMc didn't foul her on either one. So, whatcha babbling about???

If not watch a replay you missed a great game. You're the only one "babbling"... ya see the neighbors heard him (see post above) when Katie fouled SI on a three attempt at a key point in the game. Three freethrows... three points... they count. And SI made several shots... of her 11... with Katie initially guarding her... We get you think Katie is a good defender, but do you exaggerate much? Lol

I get it. You don't like being wrong. But according to the play-by-play, it was Mik, not KtMc. And I'm not making some blanket statement about me poring over the tapes and after complete game calculation saying that Katie was perfect. Just that my general observation was that KtMc was doing a good job defending against Ion. Not sure why that is so objectionable to you.

That's just Baseba1111. He is just the kind of guy that prefers to criticize peoples' flaws than praise their virtues. Sad.

Plus Ion only made two of the three FT. So not three shots three points. So who was watching the game?

That's just Baseba1111. He is just the kind of guy that prefers to criticize peoples' flaws than praise their virtues. Sad. Or just the guy at the game who actually saw the play! And... there was no criticism of any flaws but the incorrect non observation (since he never even saw the play and now uses the play by play as his excuse) that was made. But, sadly you are exactly the comment you made! Funny, how "experts" think they recognize themselves in others! Lol

"3 shots... 3 points"... fts or made 3 all count... never mentioned she made any or all of the actual freethrows. Just who was guarding and points from the line count just the same. But, in the hate/haste to attempt to prove someone wrong you can certainly turn words to your meaning.

Do you ever get tired of criticizing everyone’s posts and calling people “second grade readers”? You are really pathetic. Your exact words were “Katie fouled SI on a three point attempt. Three free throws... three points... they count”. But when I pointed out she only made two you said you never mentioned points. I don’t hate/haste anyone, but you constantly put people down or tell them they’re wrong. It’s really sad. I have had season tickets to men’s and women’s basketball for a long time. I attend almost all games and have a good grasp on both teams. SI will get her points especially shooting in such volume. Katie held her to a poor percentage about as good as anyone could expect including a couple of blocked shots. Beaveragain was right, Katie had a pretty good defensive game, but instead of just stateing your opinion in a good conversation you have to lead with “you didn’t count well then”. You say I read like a second grader, but really it’s you who acts like a second grader. I know you’ll come back at me, it’s all good, but with all the people who post about your comments, you’d think you would realize who the common denominator is. Oh well.

Concur about criticism being an obsession with that individual.
Biggest BIG TIME shot of the game last night was Katie's 3 (arguably the biggest BIG TIME shot of the season).
Of course it was just a couple weeks ago that I made a positive mention about Katie's offensive potential...and (predictably) what appeared as a return comment from that individual was some blather about her terrible shooting form. Looked pretty good last night with 12 seconds left in OT! Rueck said it best, post-game "she's a winner".
NOTE: I mistakenly singled out (tho' not by name) a frequent board participant for making comments about Katies shooting form.
I got mixed up, it was actually ANOTHER commenter (also not named here) who made that observation, while also complimenting her on all around game.
They said: "By the way, whoever keeps stating she has good shooting form and agility doesn't seem to know much about basketball. Her shot is very flat which lends itself to inconsistent shooting. This should have been fixed at an early age but apparently wasn't. She is not agile at all and in fact not very athletic or quick."

Totally agree! Katie is a winner. Doesn’t fill up the stat sheet but doesn’t need to. She Makes the big play when we need it. And as a freshman she filled in for an injured Sydney quite well. Besides, Both Sydney and Kat have odd shooting forms but it sure seems to work just fine!😁 sometimes it’s just a strong will and a confidence in yourself. What a great game for Katie and the rest of the team against a top 10 team and an early season #1 seeded tourney team.

That may be true on an isolated shot or an aberration in a stretch of the game due to something physical, but one thing that Katie has been know for since grade school is textbook form. She squares up, finishes high and reaches into the cookie jar on every shot. She elevated more like a male player in high school and still maintained that form. I didn’t see her play in the games in question, or see the post about her form, so I’m not trying to call anyone out, but if her form really broke down I would be very surprised. Fundamentals aren’t the issue for Katie. When I see her struggle is when she becomes passive. Last night she was NOT passive, and played a huge role in a huge win!
