Seeing a pattern in the second half of these games. Feeling like Groundhog Day. Thoroughly outplay an opponent only to see a lead needlessly disappear.

i predict Beavs wins this game by 7 and it isn't even that close. Playing great D and smart on O! beavs win by 6. 1 pt discount for officiating.

I'm ready for us to finally close one of these games out though. You asked for it and it happened.. maybe they need to be down late instead of ahead.. hopefully this will help them going forward

Really nice response to UCLA's push to close it out! Clutch plays on both ends of the court at the end after some sloppy play to give them life.

Balanced offense, solid rebounding, good defense to hold UCLA to 60 and 7-23 from deep, only seven turnovers, end the game on a 10-3 run. Tinkle screwed up another one, obviously.
Seth Berger's emergence of late has been huge. People scoffed when we picked him up, considering his meager stats at UMass. Well, who is laughing now.

I hope they give Benny's House some props in the post game for all our insight to success.

I hope they give Benny's House some props in the post game for all our insight to success. My pet peeve handled so much better. The total minutes prob not that much different, but the judicious use of subs and around a few timeouts gave starters rest. I'm not saying it's the difference, but without a doubt we were much more focused and energetic on both ends. And, the substitutions didn't hurt a bit. Both starters and subs were terrible at times in the first half, but uglied it up on both ends. SC is more talented, but also seems to play without discipline and focus at times. Another effort like this could ugly it up and frustrate them for a sweep. Best game of the year... players and staff.

Great win. Ugly at times but a great win for the Beavs. Two biggest takeaways for me were: 1. Getting starters a few extra minutes rest in first half. As much as people bemoan the fact of the bench not being used, the truth is that we need the Big 3 to play 32-36 minutes and Ethan to play anywhere from 28-33 minutes a night to have best chance to win. I think the little extra rest in first half helped keep them fresher in second half. 2. Finally Berger played a little more. He's been between 17-19 minutes last five or six games. Playing 22 minutes gives a little more rest to the Big 3. I'd like to see him get to 25 mgp. Good things seem to happen when he's out there, and that will mean another extra few minutes rest for the Big 3.

I do not recall a Beaver team improving at the end of a season. I'm used to the March decline. This team could be a first. Maybe the Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas will not be a one and done. Bill
