Sweeping us along the way. It appears that the ducks don’t care of they’re home or away, they bear down and get it done. The mismatch in athleticism between the Lady Beavs and teams like UCLA has always been there, but we lack a perimeter player who can impose their will on the game this year. I mentioned the difference that Destiny would make, and I have no doubt that we’ll be a vastly different team with her next year, but for now it’s going to be a grind, and I don’t think that repeating as champions is in the cards. I just hope that we figure out enough to make the tourney. Few of us thought we’d be as good this year, but we’ve been spoiled.

It is a little frustrating to see the difference in athleticism in other teams and OSU. I sometimes wonder if it is a function of looking for the "Right" player to add to the program. Rare is the super athletically gifted player (in any sport) also a hard working, team first, low ego and humble player. We will get good-to-great basketball players that have worked to hone their craft and skill. Rarely will we get incredible athletes that play basketball.(and a full 10 of them in a 4 year timeframe would be even more rare)
