Nope... refs had zero to do with this loss. Only "losers" think that way. The ladies were manhandled this weekend. They don't match up well with athletic/physical guard play. When the 3 pt is taken away we struggle. These games will make us better eventually. IMHO this team was never a Pac12 title team this year... 12-6 type team and gets to the tourney... but, reloads and will contend maybe a fav next year. Yep, you're wrong. We are not embarrassing. You one of the boyfriends?

The first half the Beav's had 1 more t/o than USC. Second half it was 16 to 4. That sort of huge shift is a mental break down and not physical. Coach is obviously pretty amazing at his job, but it's his responsibility to calm down the team and get them back into the game. Ion had more turnovers against the Bruins than Mik did. Does that mean she was outclassed by Canada also? I think the difference between the Beav's as a team and SR as a coach is that they learn lessons and get better.
Looking forward to cheering them to victory against the Arizona schools!!!!!!

I thought it was interesting that USC waited until the second half to turn up the heat (on ball defensive pressure), while UCLA applied it the whole game. USC is not as deep as UCLA, so they probably decided to conserve their energy the first half. In any event, USC's efforts were just as effective as UCLA's in the second half. Result: turnovers and few open 3 point shot opportunities. Without a player with Jamie's and/or Sydney's skill sets (and Gabby's too), the formula for beating the Beavs is pretty clear cut, if the opponent has the athletes.

They saved their energy? I suppose this is possible, but I think highly improbable. I find it more probable that OSU got shaken after a couple of steals (flash back to UCLA) and never really got back on track.

Well, for whatever the reason (probably as directed by their coach), USC changed their defensive strategy for the second half and it worked. Sure it frustrated and maybe even rattled some OSU players...they better get used to it.
