Some of you dadgum 'basketball experts' who claim you can play man up defense on Damian Lillard and dadgum everyone else, and are also critical of "coaches throwing their dadgum players under the bus" seem either unaware or just a bit silent this morning. I just don't get you. Ralph Miller would throw players under the bus during games, not after. Go visit some Roy Williams stories today. Some of you who post "Don't they teach the fundamentals of man to man defense?" is always going to crack me up.. Get your butt off your chair, get in shape, find some of the greatest players in the world and prove to the rest of us that you could do it. The word "dadgum" was added for effect. Roy Williiams used it, if you care to read about his team's loss to Wofford yesterday.

I remember Ray Blume’s first two seasons and thinking what does Ralph have against him? Always chewing him on it seemed.

Kids these days dont know how good they have it.
Getting thrown under the bus for being a screwup used to be the literal punishment.
And we liked it.

Of course those were also the days you didn't go crying to your parents. Because they told you, "... do what your teacher/coach effing tells you..." Or thereabouts!

I remember Ray Blume’s first two seasons and thinking what does Ralph have against him? Always chewing him on it seemed. Most players did not seem to enjoy one of Ralph's in-game sessions. I seem to recall tho, that Charlie Sitton would get pulled over to the bench for an in-game correction feedback al la Ralph, sit there while he was getting "educated" with a grin on his face, and then look at Ralph like "can I go back in, huh, now huh"? Never seemed to faze him. He might disagree with that, but I can only speak to what I saw from the student section with a slight buzz on (after game was much more buzzier).

I was in school during Ralph's time. I only remember in-game jawing. I don't recall him throwing players under the bus during press conferences, or through his twitter account. He may have been texting crap to reporters, but it never came out.
