It seemed like a better crowd this year at Moda Center. Officially the crowd was 8110, but they lie every year about that. But it did seem a notch bigger than last year. And my group missed the first seconds of the women's game because the security line was backed up a good 10 minutes or so. (Is that normal at the Moda?)
I thought the double-header was great. In the past, I could only talk my brother - who played a little small-college ball back in the day - into coming along with his son. This year we had a party of ten. Wives, moms, and daughters are so much more likely to come when the girls are playing, too.
Here's a vote for making this an annual event.

Definitely a better crowd this year. Certainly not the amount they announced, that probably includes all the season ticket holders given tickets that didn't make the trip. Good crowd though and got loud when needed.
Hope it becomes an annual thing!

Saw this in the Portland Tribune portlandtribune.com/pt/12-sports/380972-264818-beavers-ready-for-moda-doubleheaderTinkle says he is dedicated to playing at least one game in Portland every season. Next year, the OSU men have signed to play Texas A&M at Moda Center.

I had a lot of fun. Had never been in the Moda Center before. Had a wait in line for about 10 minutes getting in, they didn't open the gates early enough, but didn't miss any action and could move to good seats for most of both games. Easy to get there by MAX.

Pretty standard prices for an NBA/MLB/NFL/NHL venue, a license to steal, high alcohol prices to deter excessive consumption.
Same concessionaire as at OSU.

This event is highly underrated experience.....pay for a cheap seat, and sit a few rows off the floor, midcourt.......not often you can do that.....a really good time.
