He just announced today he isn’t returning to Nebraska. Was a Riley recruit and his dad played for Riley at USC. He sat out last season so would he be eligible right away or would he have to sit a year? His dad pulled him out of school so he could grow up. He got in a little trouble smoking weed in a dorm room.

Twitter is lit up with disgruntled Nebraska fans suggesting just that, but I think there is no factual basis.

He sat out last season so would he be eligible right away or would he have to sit a year? His dad pulled him out of school so he could grow up. He got in a little trouble smoking weed in a dorm room. An interesting thing to keep an eye on, when Keyshawn jr. was a recruit he was to Nebraska's recruiting what Smalls is to our recruiting this year. He convinced fellow high school teammates; 4 star QB Tristian Gebbia, 4 star and S Marquel Dismuke, as well as friend and 4 star DB Lamar Jackson to commit to Nebraska because Mike Riley was there. Keyshawn Sr. played for MR at USC and has a great deal of respect for him and wanted his son to play for him. Gebbia's dad also publicly voiced support for MR when the rumors were flying earlier in the season and said it would be a big mistake if he were let go. Gebbia redshirted so he'd have to sit out a year, but would have 4 years of eligibility right? On a side note Gebbia had an offer from UW and was recruited by JS. His offer list was also much more impressive than Petras's fwiw. Would be huge if he ended up here.

Corvallis may be a hard sell for KJ Jr but U’ll tell you what, if you’re concerned that your kid has a tough time avoiding distractions, Corvallis is a pretty good option. No distractions, just time to focus on school and football.

Add alcohol and egos into the mix and there are plenty of distractions.

No distractions, just time to focus on school and football. As opposed to Lincoln, Nebraska? Hmmm... Lincoln has a LOT more distractions to take a young man’s mind off school and football. Here’s just a few: The Nebraska History Museum, the Museum of American Speed, the Frank H Woods Telephone Pioneer Museum, the Sheldon Museum of Art, the Larson Tractor Test and Power Museum, the National Museum of Roller Skating, the International Quilt Study Center & Museum, the Lincoln Children’s Museum, the University of Nebraska State Museum, the Dinosaur Walk Museums, and the Great Plains Art Collection, just to name a few.

I somehow overlooked those. I stand corrected! The Woods Telephone Museum is off the hook!!

But the barrage of mockery was still funny, so all good.
