Excellent ball movement this season has resulted in numerous lay-ins for Gulich and Jo. Also last season’s outstanding defensive specialist (and she was GREAT), was a 35% fg shooter...and last season’s outstanding team leader (and she was GREAT), was a 44% fg shooter. This season, you need at least one complete hand to count the very good outside shooters.

In my view, FG% is a really significant stat for this year's Lady Beavs. They've dropped down a bit from the past two seasons in Rebounding strength and Overall Defensive strength. This can be dramatically offset by increased shooting percentage..... It seems obvious that the current shooting % has been inflated by several very (very) weak opponents....That is about to come to an end.
So, while shooting at 53% is a bright stat, all that glitters is not gold. HOWEVER, if one month from today (January 15) after 6 PAC 12 games the Beavs are still knocking 'em down at 50% we are looking at a very, very special team in the making....
Thanks again for posting interesting info vhf
P.S. Stats are not for losers.😎
