If you watch his post game comments and general interviews, it is obvious he is developing his players and team step by step in a meaningful and constructive way each and every game. He has a plan and is implementing it with total buy-in from his players. And yet he realizes and is part of an incredible team chemistry as well, not just wins and losses.. Some day, when he retires and hopefully that is a long time down the road, we will referring to him as the legendary coach of the Lady Beavers. I absolutely love watching the team play with the way they share the ball and respond to Rueck.

He is a class act and his staff and team follow his example. I doubt very many teams have the community involvement of the lady beavs. From staying on the court after the games for kids and young at heart to interact with, the beavers beyond the classroom, even their trip to Hawaii involved spending a day in an elementary class.
From his first interview he said he wanted to take the women's basketball fans and community along for the ride. That is exactly what he has done, a rarity for coaches to follow through so literally.

I am so stoked that we have a coach the caliber of Scott Rueck at our beloved university. He is an absolute stud of a coach and a total stand-up human being. High school seniors across the country should be so lucky to play for him. In my opinion, he's THE best coach at OSU, and that includes Casey!

So over $600K/year is not enough? Really?

It's more than enough. And, if he bolted for more $ he'd not be who he says he is or who I think he is.
He makes a VERY good wage with perks for a low revenue sport in a relatively low cost of living college town.

Hey, guys . . . it's an idiom. It's what people say about their plumber when the crap finally goes down the pipe. No one actually pays the plumber one dime more than is written on the bill.
