Why do most of the posts on here turn into petty arguments unrelated to the origin topic?

Because message boards attract folks that represent this: In a bit of a serious note, quite frankly it is because social media is destroying society. It really is. There is a lot of great things that can be gained from social media, quick contacts with people across the globe, coming together to share common interests. Making sure thousands of people know what you ate for breakfast and that your scone was super delish... But, of course the ability for people to turn something toxic, for people to use their platform for bad is almost too much to control. We can't help it. Social media is a drug. There have been dozens of studies on the subject. Our brain pumps out dopamine when we log on to facebook at see a lot of likes on our comments. It is a literal and actual positive feedback loop and our brain triggers chemical responses that we like... and when we do not get responses we like, we suffer actual mental harm. The thumbs up on the posts on this board isn't all that different. It is both fascinating and scary. We are all addicts out here. It makes it very important that we exercise restraint, and willpower and calm... It is important we have tough skin also and we do not allow ourselves to get worked up over OTHER addicts out there, whose chosen method of getting a hit is getting under other people's skin. Otherwise, you get that 8 page clusterf%#* thread about the assistant coaches! good lord, I needed a shower after reading that.

There is no argument. Richard is the King. His dad Lee and son Kyle aren't even close.
