ASU also just beat Kansas. The conference needed some good wins for RPI purposes if there's going to be any chance of getting more than 3 or 4 teams into the dance this year.

ASU beating Kansas is probably not the best evidence of the weakness of the PAC 12.

Either KU sucks now or ASU is the real deal. Bobby Hurley's got some ballers

ASU is 9-0 now (and averaging over 91 ppg), so .... Bobby Hurley (sp?) is getting it done. He keeps this up, is he next in line at Duke when K hangs it up?

Two wins at Kansas will help - we had very few notable wins as a conference prior to that. We're still sitting at 6th overall as a conference in the RPI though. But with ASU having wins over Xavier and Kansas, they are helping a lot with the current #3 RPI. Still, half the conference is in the triple digits. IIRC, the year OSU went dancing, we had only one team in the conference in that range. realtimerpi.com/rpi_338_Men.htmlIt's early for the RPI, but our losses were to teams that have RPI rankings better than most of the conference. St. Johns is 20, Wyoming 50, and even LBS is 102. Jacksonville St. is 134 - time to prove we belong under two bills.

Not even really concerned about RPI at the moment, butoOur losses haven't been horrible. While the way we lost those 3 games still stings and is disappointing, we did dominate those losses for long stretches, St. Johns in particular. I agree that this Jacksonville State game is a game where this team can show that they really have improved. A win by double digits would be a really positive sign moving forward IMO.
