She's not in either of these newly-posted photos on Twitter. Should we be worried? Someone please give some sorely needed reassurance here.... twitter.com/BeaversWBBSophs

Destiny probably wasn't present because these photos were taken on a road trip. I don't think she gets to travel.
But Jo isn't in the photos, either. So go ahead and start some rumors about that.

The Beavers WBB program can't pay for Slocum's travel this season due to her redshirt status, according to a source close to the team. I have heard that Slocum's play in practice is at a high level and that she is pound-for-pound one of the strongest athletes on the team. All signs indicate that she is preparing well to bring her high-energy game to Gill in '18-'19.

My reassurance to you would be to ask you to observe Destiny's level of engagement and enthusiasm on the bench during home games.... There is that cliche of "I'm injured/redshirting/DNPing, so I'll be a cheerleader on the bench". Destiny is way, way, way more than that. She is about as engaged with the team as is humanly possible without traveling on her own dime to road events (and note the travel explanations above). And, bennyskid, I don't know if your suggestion to start the rumor mill on Jo was tongue-in-cheek, since she is present at the far right in both photos. Go Beavers!

I think it was tongue-in-cheek, but it is sometimes hard to see sarcastic font! I will say that if you don't actually open the pictures on the linked page, you won't see Jo...but she is there...was there...and had some good minutes to boot!

File this under incidental, but interesting. In the current OSU WBB Beaver Twitter is a series of recent practice photos - one of them shows DS fighting thru a screen. So she's in the thick of things....Another point: all the scrimmage opponents in this photo are men.

It's common for a wbb team to have a practice team made of men, they are usually found by the coaches playing pick up games around campus.

There was an article about the group of guys that challenged the women regularly in practice the year that we made it to the Final Four.

Destiny was serving as the chief sideline cheerleader at today's (Sunday, Dec. 10) blow-out victory. She was obviously having a very good time.

She was mobbed by kids after the game. It has turned into a tradition I love to watch, our girls stay on the court to meet with the kids.

bib - not sure how many wbb teams do this (meet and greet kids on the floor after a game), but it is a great gesture. While the young kids love it, the real character building is experienced by the players...Just one of many signature trademarks of the Rueck program that has a nice ring to it...
