It's a DUII case in Corvallis. Since there is no further info (BAC, etc.) I will be skeptical. I was on a jury that acquitted a guy of DUII last year, he was being railroaded by the BCSO.
But I will admit, he looks toasted.

Off-season, not under OSU control, bad situation for him, but others have come back from mistakes like this.

Max is a professional baseball player who most recently pitched in the New York-Penn League for the Auburn Doubledays. Bummer for Max...but in no respect a Beaver matter. |

Thankfully not OSU's problem any more. Staff has enough to deal with keeping the active players on the straight and narrow. Can't keep tabs on all the alums roaming about in the big bad world. Max is 24. Time to think about growing up. |

Heard he blew a 0.12. Not good when your BAC is almost as high as the Mendoza Line or your ERA.

I doubt many here haven’t been on the road .08.

Long term, his college education will serve him well. This will simply be a classic 'bump in the road'. Going forward, the real test will be his 2018 performance. In Short Season A-ball [2017] he was a (sort of unimpressive) 31 ip - giving up 35 H and 7 BB...[WHIP 1.35]...his best stat is that he had 23 SO. As a very low round draft pick, his make-or-break moment may come sooner, rather than later. |
