Gotta think MR joining the staff can help to solidify his commitment! Hopefully we can keep him.

I gotta believe that JS, with is own good track record with QBs in his young career plus Riley with his great track record would be motivation for him to stay on board. Petras has gotta believe he is in a good place to get NFL looks.

Ya... it should since he is now being recruiting by one school that has the guy that was trying to lure him away. Why would a WC kid want to now go play in Iowa??? Just have DA, Mannion, Moore et al give him a tweet or two.

I'm excited about this kid coming to Corvallis. The comparisons to Sean Mannion are pretty easy to make. Speaking of Mannion, he was a dedicated student of the game, famously finding a way in to the film room at odd hours to study up on defenses. What do we know about Petras in that regard? Work ethic, family football background, etc...? Also, does Petras play in a smaller league? Some of the DB's he's throwing against look downright anemic. Or maybe that's why they wound up on his Hudl video. I'd like to know how he's done against defenses with some recruited players. Anyway, it sounds like he's a legit D1 recruit with the tools to go with it.

a smaller division in the ncs section. the marin county league is ok. marin catholic is great in the league. aidan willard went to justin siena in napa which is in the marin county league. marin catholic won the NCS title in their division which is great. i'm not going to say that the league is weak but there are better leagues in norcal.
leagues in the east bay area are probably better. Pittsburgh High, San Ramon, Monte Vista,........De La Salle is a machine......they're in the open division.
actually there a lot of good players all over norcal. sf bay area, sacramento, east bay, and south bay/ san jose. lots of talent.
i'm sure petras has played against good competition.
